This 4-channel Active Power Amplifier features our high performance Digital Crossover module DCN24. The Chassis II 1500 give the owner a very powerful loudspeaker manager in terms of DSP processing power, software tool capabilities and output power. Each output channel has a power cability of more than 600W @ 4 Ω ! The setup of the loudspeakers is very easy using the sophysticated software tool XOverWizard II standard. XOverWizard II has a very useful simlulator which shows the total frequency response etc. based upon imported measurements and setup parameters. The auto signal sensing system makes the daily use very easy - just turn on the pre-amplifier and Chassis II 1500 powers on by itself. The integrated handles makes it possible to move the massive weight of 50 kg Active Amplifier a bit easier...

The Digital Crossover performs the DSP processing of this active power amplifier - low-pass, high-pass, equalization and delay. The usage of very high performance TI Burr-Brown converters gives Chassis II 1500 crystal clear sound and very low noise floor.

The power amplifier modules are very powerful bipolar amplifiers of classical design working in class AB with moderate power consumption. The amplifier modules are constructed with a differential cascode coupled input stage controlled by a current generator. The input stage is totally discreet to optimize for linearity and bandwidth. The voltage gain stage is also cascode coupled, which is differentially symmetric in class A, to achieve low distortion at high frequencies. The output stage is of high current gain being an easy load to the voltage gain stage. The output stage consists of 12 pieces totally complimentary high speed high power bipolar transistors.

The Power Supply features a small mains filter on the low power section of the supply, which enhances both sound and function.

	The Power Supply has separate linear regulated voltages of 3.3V, 5V and +/-11V to supply the Digital Crossover module for highest performance.

The input sensing circuit keeps an eye on the signal input to auto start the power amplifiers. The front mounted switch selects between ON - STAND BY - AUTO SENSING to ease the use in daily life. If ON is selected or a signal is present in AUTO mode the amplifier switches ON.

	The soft start circuitry limits the inrush current to about 7A to prevent the wall fuse from trip / blowing.

The massive 1500VA toroidal transformer will provide rail voltages around +/-85V unloaded. Rail voltage of 85V will give the power amplifier modules an peak output power around 350W at 8 Ω and 650W at 4 Ω. The power supply uses 12 pcs Audio Grade "Gold Tune" Capacitors from Nichicon.
